Three companies with industrial doctorate projects among the 10 awarded at the D+I Innovation Awards

The D+I Innovation Awards 2023 ceremony recognized 10 entities in the technology sector, including researchers and startups. Three of the awarded entities are beneficiaries of the Industrial Doctorates Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya, with ACCIONA, Luxquanta and Mitiga Solutions receiving awards in different categories.

Last October 19, the D+I Innovation Awards 2023 ceremony was held, where 10 entities were recognized among researchers, start-ups and other players in the technological ecosystem. The awards ceremony is a meeting point between entrepreneurs, innovation teams, technological multinationals, emerging companies, representatives of the Public Administration, accelerators, venture capital investors and other protagonists of the R+D+I ecosystem. The awards, given by an independent jury, had a record attendance of almost 300 people. At the event, they highlighted the importance of collaboration in the technological field to face complex challenges.

Of the ten award-winning entities, three are companies that benefit from the grants from the Industrial Doctorates Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya. ACCIONA, with three industrial doctorates, has been awarded in the category of "Best digitization project for a large company". Luxquanta, with an industrial doctorate project, has been awarded in the category of "Best SME digitization project" and the company Mitiga Solutions, born as a spin-off from Barcelona Supercomputing Center and with two completed industrial doctorates, has been awarded in the "Best Startup" category.
