
Aeroports de Catalunya and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly carry out teaching, research and technology transfer activities in the field of aeronautical management and airport infrastructures. In this way, Aeroports de Catalunya expands ties with the universities of Catalonia that provide, within their curricula, training in aeronautical management in different areas.
Regarding teaching, the agreement will promote the proposal of final theses on topics related to aeronautical management and will allow the promotion of the external academic internship program for UAB students within companies in the aeronautical sector through paid internship agreements.
Regarding research, the agreement provides for collaboration in the definition and proposal of doctoral theses within the industrial doctorate program and joint participation in funding calls for research, innovation and transfer projects, as well as the general carrying out of research and transfer activities in the areas of airport management, services and infrastructures.
Last November, Aeroports de Catalunya signed an agreement with the Polytechnic University of Catalonia – BarcelonaTech (UPC) to carry out joint actions in teaching, research and technology transfer in the fields of aeronautics and space, through the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering.
