Aeroports de Catalunya and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly carry out teaching, research and technology transfer activities in the field of aeronautical management and airport infrastructure. In this way, Aeroports de Catalunya expands ties with the universities of Catalonia that provide, within their study plans, training in aeronautical management in different areas.

As far as teaching is concerned, the agreement will promote the proposal of end-of-studies projects in topics related to aeronautical management and will allow the promotion of the external academic internship program for UAB students within the companies of the aeronautical sector through agreements of paid internships.

Regarding research, the agreement provides for collaboration in the definition and proposal of doctoral theses within the industrial doctorate program and joint participation in calls for funding for research, innovation and transfer projects, as well as the general realization of research and transfer activities in the fields of management, services and airport infrastructures.

Aeroports de Catalunya already signed an agreement last November with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) to carry out joint actions in teaching, research and technology transfer in the fields of aeronautics and space, in through the Castelldefels School of Telecommunication and Aerospace Engineering.
