AEInnova, spin-off of UAB, raises 3 million euros in an investment round

The company, created nine years ago by researchers from the Department of Microelectronics of the UAB, has closed an investment round of 3 million euros, which has been developed in three phases during 2023.

The company AEInnova, created nine years ago by researchers from the Department of Microelectronics of the UAB, has completed an investment round of 3 million euros during 2023. This funding aims to accelerate the development and implementation of its technological solutions that use waste heat as an energy source.

AEInnova has obtained a total financing of eight million euros since its foundation, from private investors and public investments through subsidies from the European Union, the CDTI and ACCIÓ. The company has developed a technology to convert waste heat into energy and applies it to wireless industrial sensors used for predictive maintenance in sectors such as petrochemical, cement and metallurgy.
