Descripció del projecte

In the last decade, many approaches have been presented to track and retrieve the 3D reconstruction of some dynamic objects from images. While these approaches have obtained a nice performance in controlled scenarios, these methods can fail in other ones in the wild such as in sports. In those cases, the method should automatically and robustly solve several problems such as detection, matching, tracking and reconstruction, in a deformable environment where some human objects interact and move by considering the rest of people and the ball. In addition to that, an exhaustive analysis of motions can provide the basis for style recommendation. The main goal of the project is to design and implement a full vision-based system that additionally exploits the motion analysis to recover statistics, events, as well as value information to improve the competitiveness.

The project will be carried in cooperation with the following two institutions:
– Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (IRI) in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
– Lob Tech SL

The scientific advisor in IRI will be Dr. Antonio Agudo Martínez.
The responsible for part of the company will be Oscar Lopez Lopez.
