Descripció del projecte

In the future, urban mobility planning systems are likely to cooperate with vehicle fleets and navigation systems in real time in order to achieve environmental, safety and ease of living KPIs through influencing routing and driving style.
The underlying technological implications are complex and have not been systematically analyzed with respect to their influence on automotive navigation technology and user behavior.
The project has the following objectives:
· Understand the use of open and closed data provided by administrations and corporations for their use in the improvement of mobility and vehicle navigation.
· Contribute to the understanding of the use of multilayered open data (public transport, pollution, noise, traffic accidents, catastrophic data and event data among others) to the improvement and sustainable deployment of vehicle mobility in large cities.
· Contribute to the analysis of strategies for cooperative routing and navigation in urban areas.
· Contribute to the analysis of technological options to implement cooperative KPI responsive fleets.
· Develop a prototype vehicle/mini fleet in order to test technological feasibility and user experience.
· Conduct technological test runs and user studies for the implemented systems.
· Contribute to the standardization of data exchange protocols (secure and non-secure) between data generation bodies (administrations and corporations), and vehicle navigation systems, or adopt the existing standards if they are robust enough.
· Providing a technological roadmap for SEAT and Volkswagen after the study of the field in cooperation with the Doctors and engineers of the company.
RESULT OBTAINED
The result should be a proposal for a KPI responsive navigation system including a demonstration scenario and a concept evaluation for technology and user acceptance.
