Descripció del projecte
The research will be focused on the study of wild boar (Sus scrofa) populations in relation of its management. Exploring the factors affecting demography and the potential effect of climate change, modelling demographic parameters depending on type and intensity of hunt pressure and developing optimization and comparation of density estimation at different scales.
The data source will be the wild boar monitoring program database. Complemented with density estimations trough cameratraps (Random Encounter model) and other methodologies.
It is planned to produce a minimum of three scientific paper published in peer-reviewed journals.
