Descripció del projecte
In the last years Higher Education has gone through large changes brought by the Bologna Process. One of the main topics is switching classical learning strategies
towards more applied strategies based on “learning by doing” or “action learning”. On the other hand, the European Commission has adopted a Digital Education
Action Plan which includes actions to support technology-use and digital competence development in education.
TELANTO developed this kind of Digital Action Learning Methodologies (DALM) for successful university-industry collaborations, particularly focused in real
challenges that organizations face. DALM in which the student needs to deal with a real challenge and working within a team have been used extensively in recent
years, in different universities, faculties in all kind of countries and different sociocultural characteristics.
Objective:
Assessing the effectiveness of DALM for different stakeholders: students, universities and employers.
Methodology:
The UIC will be chosen as a case study. It will be designed an experiment, in which in a set of selected subjects form different faculties and knowledge fields, DALM
will be used. A sectional study will be conducted for three years to check and compare results across Faculties.
Different steps will be performed:
1.- Team of professors/instructors selection and their instruction in DALM.
2.- Design of the instrument to measure DALM’s impact in terms of
· Student competences acquisition
· Changing the university teaching and instructing paradigm
· Company recruitment policies
3.- Deploying DALM in the selected subjects.
4.- Measuring results. Analyzing results.
Output:
1. Assessing the impact of DALM (form different point of view: student, university strategy and companies’ human resource department).
2. A toolkit useful to implement efficiently DALM.
