Digital twins are a revolutionary and extended technique used in different areas and businesses. Still, using those implies a specific development and start-up process for each asset, making the development process complex and expensive. This situation creates a barrier to using these technologies in medium- and low-size companies.

The investigation aims to develop a methodology that reduces the development and start-up time of digital twins and increases the flexibility, modulated, and scalability of said technology based on using composable services, particularly those that focus on improving maintainability, monitoring, and control of assets focused on artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The research question of this research are:
• How is it possible to integrate digital twins with AI as composable services?
• If the previous statement yields feasible, which services and how do we quantify the operational benefits of the composable in the design and management of digital twins?
• How advanced approaches of management and control of real complex systems can be integrated into the proposed research towards effective interaction with the digital twins and the related framework?

In order of activities, first, conducting a comprehensive study of the current state of the art and the methodologies used to generate digital twins should be performed. Second, developing digital twins, for a specific area, on a lab scale using different composable services and evaluating the results will be done.

This research will demonstrate in real-world scenarios where the speed of digital twins creations will show its benefits.
