Industrial doctoral student Mohamed Amazian will represent the UB in the contest Thesis in 4 Minutes of the FCRi

Mohamed Amazian El Moussaoui, PhD student in Engineering and Applied Sciences, will represent the University of Barcelona in the contest Theses in 4 Minutes of the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation. He was chosen among other researchers on April 26, and Saba Mohamed Bibi, from the doctoral program in Food and Nutrition, was a finalist.

Mohamed Amazian El Moussaoui is pursuing an industrial doctorate and says he is particularly pleased that, as a researcher, he has "a tangible objective, with a real and immediate application". "The company Plating Decor was interested in researching its industrial process," he explains. Specifically, this doctoral student is contributing to improving the way gold coatings are made: "We currently have formulations to make gold coatings with the passage of electricity that are very specific and unstable; Based on research, we can extend the useful life of coatings and make them more versatile".
