The Agency for Management of University and Research Grants allocates 3.6 MEUR for Industrial Doctorates projects

The Government has authorized to allocate to the Agency of Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), a total amount of 3,649,000 euros to attend the call for grants for industrial doctorate projects for the period 2017-2019. Annuities are distributed at 729,000 euros in 2017; 1,459,600 euros in 2018; and 1,459,600 euros in 2019. The Government created the Industrial Doctorates Plan in 2012 to encourage doctoral students from Catalan universities to develop their doctoral thesis within a company. The objective is to guarantee the transfer of knowledge, contribute to the competitiveness and internationalization of the Catalan industry, strengthen the instruments to capture the talent generated by the country and place future doctors in a position to develop R&D&I projects in a company.
