Esto, which could sound like chino hace unos años, is a reality in our country. Aunque es algo complejo porque "the doctor is recognized in the académico ámbito y cosa más: da puntos para different oppositions, for the pharmaceutical industry but not in companies", from hace dos años the Generalitat de Cataluña leads a program of industrial doctors that allows young people to realicen su doctorado en una compañía con un sueldo fijo durant three years.

The University of Barcelona has joined this system of industrial doctorate grants that the Generalitat has copied from Denmark and which it has convened annually since 2013. This industrial doctor, already implanted in Germany and Francia, was very close in Catalonia. In the current situation are the Catalan doce universidades committed to the project, among them, the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. "There are about 125 industrial doctors and the reto is bequeathed to 200", says Enric Canela, vice-rector for Scientific Policy of the UB. Companies such as Acciona, Seat and Hewlett Packard are involved. Many higher education centers in our country are interested in this model and are solicitando información.
