2022 Impact Awards of the Industrial Doctorates Plan

To celebrate this anniversary we present the first edition of the 2022 Impact Awards of Industrial Doctorates. The aim of this competition is to make visible the impact generated by collaborative research in the different industrial doctorate projects, as well as to bring this research closer to citizens to identify challenges (current or future) and anticipate what type of impact it would generate.

CONTEST RULES

Participation in the 2022 Impact Awards competition for Industrial Doctorates implies acceptance and compliance with the following rules:

I. PURPOSE

The Industrial Doctorates Plan (Plan DI) of the Generalitat de Catalunya organizes the contest Premios Impacte 2022 de los Doctoratos Industriales. The purpose of the awards is a description of the impact generated by collaborative research within an industrial doctorate project, current or future, by means of a text and an infographic with the characteristics indicated in section IV of these rules.

II. OBJECTIVES

The competition aims to:

  1. To make visible the impact generated by industrial doctorate projects funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya from different perspectives: general in society, in the same company or institution, in the professional development of people.
  2. Bring Industrial Doctorates closer to citizens in order to identify challenges (current or future) and anticipate what type of impact it would generate. It is hoped that these proposals may be future applications to the call for DI grants.

III. PARTICIPANTS and CATEGORIES

The competition is aimed at participants in the Industrial Doctorates Plan (company managers, thesis supervisors and supervisors, industrial doctors, doctoral students and industrial doctoral students) for the following categories:

Category 1: Impact on society.

  • The contributions in this category must show how the industrial doctorate project has made a new product or service available to the public, has provided new knowledge to respond to current or future challenges, among other contributions of general interest.

Category 2: Impact on the company or institution.

  • In this category, the contributions must show how the industrial doctorate project has introduced improvements in the company or institution: talent attraction, training and knowledge sharing, internal procedures, new product or service, protection of research results, use of tax benefits, establishment of new collaborations, among others.

Category 3: Impact on people.

  • The contributions in this category must show how the industrial doctorate project has become an opportunity for improvement for any of the people involved: improvement and acquisition of skills, access to new knowledge and technologies, creation of a network of contacts, enjoyment of an international stay, among others.

With the aim of opening the Industrial Doctorates program to all citizens, we invite anyone of legal age residing in Catalonia in the fourth category to participate in the contest:
