The company Electrònica Saltó has been awarded, by public vote, with the recognition of the 2024 Business Day awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya, celebrated on June 26 at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Electrònica Saltó, based in Pla d'Urgell, participates in the Industrial Doctorates Plan from 2022 with a pioneering project in social and health assistance using artificial intelligence, IoT and robotics technologies.
Founded in 2013, Electrònica Saltó is a leading company in information technology, and the development of care solutions for elderly or dependent people. His industrial doctorate project , in collaboration with the University of Lleida, focuses on the development of a support and monitoring platform for people with addiction , using social robotics and smart devices. The platform collects data through the Internet of Things (IoT), uses artificial intelligence to personalize interactions and generate alerts in real time , and facilitates the traceability of information to optimize home care and improve the quality of life of the users. In short, the project aims to monitor and provide support for the daily needs of dependent people, improving the quality of life through the use of technology.
Among the four finalist companies is also Liquats Vegetals , a company dedicated to the production and marketing of vegetable drinks since 1991. This company from Osona participates in the Industrial Doctorates Plan with a research project starting in 2021. Liquats Vegetals, dedicated in the production and marketing of plant-based beverages, has been a finalist for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the food sector.
This recognition reaffirms the key role of Electrònica Saltó and Liquats Vegetals in fostering innovation and sustainability in Catalonia , highlighting the importance of the Industrial Doctorates Plan in the technological and economic development of the country.
