The company Electrònica Saltó has been awarded, by citizen vote, with the recognition of the 2024 Business Day granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, celebrated on June 26 at the Palau de la Música Catalana. This award recognizes the best business projects in our country and that prioritize values such as sustainability, innovation, the common good, disruption and internationalization. Electrònica Saltó, based in Pla d'Urgell, has been participating in the Industrial Doctorate Plan since 2022 with a pioneering project in social and healthcare assistance through artificial intelligence, IoT and robotics technologies.
Founded in 2013, Electrònica Saltó is a leading company in information technology, and development of care solutions for elderly or dependent people. Its industrial doctoral project , in collaboration with the University of Lleida, focuses on the development of a support and monitoring platform for people with dependency , using social robotics and smart devices. The platform collects data through the Internet of Things (IoT), uses artificial intelligence to personalize interactions and generate alerts in real time , and facilitates the traceability of information to optimize home care and improve the quality of life of users. Ultimately, the project aims to monitor and provide support for the daily needs of dependent people, improving the quality of life through the use of technology.
Among the four finalist companies is also Liquats Vegetals , a company dedicated to the production and marketing of plant-based drinks since 1991. This company from Osona participates in the Industrial Doctorate Plan with a research project that began in 2021. Liquats Vegetals, dedicated to the production and marketing of plant-based drinks, has been a finalist for its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the food sector.
This recognition reaffirms the key role of Electrónica Saltó and Liquats Vegetals in promoting innovation and sustainability in Catalonia , highlighting the importance of the Industrial Doctorate Plan in the technological and economic development of the country.
