Project description

While traditional economic indicators are an important part of knowing the state of a society or company, increasingly, non-economic indicators are an important part to take into account for the evaluation of companies, countries, cultures and societies in general.

More specifically, at the level of companies, they increasingly have to generate value for society. Taking care of sustainability at the level of companies is not only a matter of social interest, but it increasingly represents a fundamental value for economic growth and future projection.

The objectives of the doctoral thesis are not based so much on the technology used in the most sustainable products, but rather on the implementation of a methodology for monitoring, determining and evaluating the environmental, economic and social impact of swimming pools and how to analyze the sustainability of swimming pools throughout their life cycle in order to anticipate the requirements, which are also changing, and try to improve them within the business environment.

More specifically, the questions we would like to answer would be:

– Define a methodology for monitoring indicators.

– Determination of tools available on the market.

– Analysis of the sustainability of swimming pools at all stages of their life cycle.

– Determination of barriers to the application of machine learning technology.

– Enabling factors that allow the implementation and use of sustainable products and policies.

– Analysis of the acceptance of these policies at the local level in various countries and continents.

– Advantages of companies that have protocols and procedures in this area.

– Challenges in implementing sustainability at all stages of the swimming pool life cycle.

– Determination of a scorecard and indicators in comparison with alternative solutions.
