FUTURE STUDENTS

 

1. What is the minimum mark needed to be admitted to an  industrial doctorate programme? 

6.5/10. It is calculated based on all of the courses giving access to doctoral studies. It is generally a bachelor’s degree and a master's degree. In any case, you should contact the university responsible for the doctoral programme to ensure admission.

 

2. Is it necessary to fulfil the requirements of the offer?

Yes, unless clearly stated otherwise.

 

3. How do I submit an application for a project?

Please refer to the application guide, which explains the process in detail. To complete the application process, the form (signed and in paper format) must be submitted to AGAUR’s register:

Register office hours: Monday to Thursday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, and Friday from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm.

 

4. Is it possible to submit more than one application at the same time?

Yes, as long as the requirements are met for each project.

 

5. How can I find out the status of my application?

The universities/companies are responsible for communicating the status of an application to the interested parties.

COMPANY / UNIVERSITY

 

1. What kind of company can apply for a grant?

Private companies with a workplace in Catalonia (regardless of the location of their headquarters) and public companies that are subject to the Estatut de l’Empresa Catalana.

Research centres, hospital foundations, TECNIO centres, territorial government administrations and non-profit private foundations are not eligible for the co-funding type of financing.

 

2. What universities can participate in the Industrial Doctorates Plan?

All public and private universities in the Catalan university system.

 

3. Who are the parties who are able to submit a project?

At least one university and one company. However, more than one company may participate, as well as a research centre or hospital foundation as a third party.

 

4. What requirements must the thesis director meet?

The thesis director must be part of a recognized research group (SGR) from the Government of Catalonia, be an ICREA researcher or have received funding from the European Research Council (ERC).

 

5. What are the basic steps for submitting a project?

First you must send the form to the following email address: doctorats.industrials.sur@gencat.cat This must also be signed and submitted on paper to the AGAUR’s register:

Secondly, once the selection of the candidate is completed, the request for the grant must be submitted to the Virtual Citizen Care Office (OVT) of the Government of Catalonia, attaching the required documents (collaboration agreement, selection report, the doctorand’s academic transcript of university studies, allowing admission to a doctoral programme, and admission letter).
